Posa Newsletter
Happy New Year & welcome to the very first Posa Newsletter!
We hope to send these newsletters on a monthly basis. Our intention is to offer ongoing support and guidance throughout your bullet journaling journey, while also sharing insights, answering questions, and helping you build a sustainable practice.
I’ve kept journals for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, they were the classic “Dear Diary” kind. As I got older, they became more task-oriented, filled with endless to-do lists. In 2020, I began looking for a way to more intentionally define my journaling practice. That’s when I discovered Bullet Journaling, and I’ve been using it ever since. Over the last few years, I’ve refined the spreads, rhythms, and flow that felt most natural and supportive to me. Those discoveries directly informed the inner pages of your Posa Journal.
Two years ago, I customized a bullet journal for my brother as his Christmas gift. It took weeks to build! Along with it, I wrote a letter explaining how to use the spreads and sharing my hopes and intentions behind the gift. I won’t include the entire letter here, but I want to share some key take-aways.
Your Posa Journal is meant to support you. It is a space for honesty, self-awareness, and reflection, not perfection, pressure, or judgment.
Incomplete or blank pages are valid. Missed entries are not failures. They are simply information and awareness, not something to fix or feel bad about.
Flexibility and personalization are encouraged. Your journal adapts to you, not the other way around. Repurpose sections, skip pages, change headings, and let it be messy if that’s what feels right.
Breaks from journaling are normal and meaningful. Pauses often reflect what’s happening in your life. There is no need to backfill or catch up unless it genuinely feels supportive.
Time commitment can be minimal. Daily journaling can take just a few minutes. Reflection pages may take longer, but they are meant to feel nourishing rather than burdensome.
The hardest part is already done. Your journal is pre-built, removing the most time-consuming aspect of bullet journaling, making it easier to begin and continue. The blank pages offer space to create from scratch, striking a balance between creativity and approachability.
Getting Started
Some Suggestions…
Gratitude for January 1 | Find a quiet moment and think of one thing you are grateful for. Write it down.
Then & Again | A fun way to jump in! Follow the prompts down the center and fill in the left side. (We’ll return to the right side in 365 days or so 😉)
Year at Glance | Start filling in birthdays of your close family and friends.
Key | Are there any tasks you can jot down for this week? Come back to it later on and check off as complete or halfway done.
Intentions | What feeling do you want to cultivate this year? One of my favorite intentions is disconnect to connect.
I hope your Posa journal provides you with structure, focus, feedback, clarity, and a space to escape to. I hope that, like for me, this space feels like a daily treat.
Happy Journaling!
